Mercury Marine 40HP SeaPro Outboard - Electric Start Extra Long Shaft

Mercury SeaPro™ outboards are built to handle the heavy-duty needs of commercial boating applications. A job on the water can be unpredictable, but a SeaPro outboard clocks in on time every day, eager to work as hard as you do, for as long as you do.

Engineered for Commercial Duty
Season after season, these durable, easy-to-maintain SeaPro commercial motors deliver reliable starts and improved fuel efficiency. Calibrated to reach maximum torque at lower rpms, they provide more power with less stress on the motor. Get on plane faster – and stay there longer at lower speeds.

SeaPro advantages

  1. Lighter by design: By minimising weight at every opportunity, Mercury delivers a performance boost to midsized boats.
  2. Superior control: With a choice of tiller or remote steering and compatibility with advanced SmartCraft® features such as Troll Control and Active Trim, you can optimise your engine for your needs.
  3. Valuable fuel savings: Light and efficient, SeaPro outboards help you get more done on every drop of fuel. The engine is also optimised for 87 octane fuel for further savings at the pump.
  4. Corrosion resistance: Proprietary alloys. Durable coatings. A convenient freshwater flush system. Mercury builds SeaPro outboards to be tough enough to handle the elements, no matter where the work takes you.

Features:

  • High-output alternator: An 18-amp alternator helps keep batteries charged and electronics humming throughout the workday.
  • Command Thrust gearcase: Designed to sit lower in the water and turn larger props, the Command Thrust gearcase lifts heavy boats on plane more easily and holds them there at lower speeds without impacting the top speed.
  • Electronic fuel injection (MPI): From the moment you crank the engine to the moment you drop the throttle, EFI technology responds with instant power. Surefire starting in all weather conditions. Smooth, efficient acceleration. Maximum capability.
  • Convenient maintenance: Spend less time on servicing and more time on the clock with our no-spill oil change system, easy-access fuel filter and colour-coded maintenance touch points.
  • Advanced tiller: The available Mercury tiller adapts to you, not the other way around. You can reverse the grip for left or right-handed throttling and adjust the tiller angle laterally and vertically for better leverage and control.
