You're covered with confidence when you choose Mercury. Here's what you need to know: Whats Covered Factory Limited Warranty applies to new Mercury outboards, sterndrives, and inboards. Coverage includes defects in material or workmanship. All engines come with limited corrosion protection (3 years standard; 4 years for MerCruiser SeaCore). Some controls and rigging are also covered when installed with genuine Mercury Precision Parts.

Warranty Period

Coverage starts from the date of first retail sale or first usewhichever comes first. Warranty terms vary by product - check your specific models Warranty Chart.

Warranty coverage is non-declining - it doesnt reduce with time or engine hours.

Transferability

Warranty can be transferred between recreational users (but not from or to commercial users).

Commercial Use

Commercial-use engines are covered for 1 year from sale or first use.
