All recreational/privately registered Suzuki Outboards come standard with 3-years / unlimited hours manufacturer's warranty. Recreational outboards are also eligible for a bonus 3-year Warranty providing that an authorised Suzuki Marine Dealership completes servicing as per the owners manual schedule. The Suzuki dealer must use only genuine parts and oils during both manufacturer's and bonus warranty periods.

Precision Control
This technologically advanced system is a computer-based drive-by-wire control system that eliminates the friction and resistance of mechanical control cables. Operation is smooth and precise with crisp, immediate shifting that is most evident in the low rpm range and when manoeuvring around the marina and in close quarters. The system is configurable for single, twin, triple, or quad installations, and for dual stations.

Suzuki Selective Rotation
Large boats equipped with multi-outboard installations generally pair a standard rotation outboard with a counter-rotation model to keep the boat traveling in a straight line and on an even keel. Once requiring the purchase of a dedicated counter-rotation model, Suzuki's innovative Suzuki Selective Rotation eliminates that need by incorporating a special, unified design of gears, shaft, and bearings in the lower unit that allow the outboard to operate reliably and efficiently in either direction. Available on both the DF175AP and DF150AP, counter-rotation operation requires an optional activation switch that connects to a circuit inside of the engine compartment plus the installation of a counterrotation propeller.

Suzuki Lean Burn Control System
The Suzuki Lean Burn Control System is an intelligent fuel delivery system that achieves remarkable improvements in fuel consumption making fuel-efficient four-stroke outboards even more economical. Monitoring engine performance and operating conditions in real time, the system uses the 32-bit onboard ECM to predict fuel needs and deliver a leaner, more precise fuel mixture across the outboard's operating range. The results show significant improvements in fuel economy across the entire powerband, including the cruising range where the engine is used a majority of the time.

Fuel Efficient
With a combination of our Lean Burn technology, a semi-direct intake system and a high performance compression ratio of 10.2-to-1, these new outboards deliver clean, efficient power. Compared to the previous generation, the DF175A is 14% more fuel efficient and the DF150A shows a 7% improvement for significant savings at the fuel dock.

Ultra-Reliable
These new outboards take full advantage of Suzuki's proven Ultimate 4-stroke technology to provide season after season of reliable performance. A knock sensor keeps the engine running smoothly for improved durability.
An O2 sensor improves engine efficiency and Suzuki's water detecting system helps protect the engine from the effects of bad gas, which include poor combustion, lower power output and corrosion.

2-Stage Gear Reduction
This system which incorporates the Offset Driveshaft features a first stage reduction between the crankshaft and drive shaft and a second stage reduction inside the gear case. This design makes a larger gear ratio possible, allowing it to turn a large diameter propeller for high propulsive efficiency while providing greater torque.

Offset Driveshaft
The engine powerhead is offset closer to the transom, moving the outboard's centre of gravity forward.

Multi-stage Induction System
Intake manifold pipes are switched between short and long ones during low speed and high speed operation to ensure the right volume of air enters the engine.

ADVANTAGE

  • Increases output during high speed operation with greater volume of air input.
  • Increases combustion efficiency and maximises torque by increasing the density in the air intake during low speed operation.

Semi-direct Air Intake System - DF150A-DF175A
This system brings cooler air directly into the multi-stage intake manifold, making it possible for the engine to operate more efficiently.

ADVANTAGE: Greater acceleration and top-end speed.

O2 Sensor Feedback Control System
The system monitors engine operating conditions to provide input to the ECM allowing it to manage the fuel/air mixture.

Lean Burn

Suzuki Water Detecting System
Designed to help protect the engine from moisture in the fuel utilising a water detecting fuel filter to alert the operator with both visual and audio warnings when water is present in the fuel.

ADVANTAGE: Protects engine from poor combustion, lower power output, and corrosion.

Suzuki Anti-Corrosion System
Special protection is applied to the aluminium surface using high strength bonding to protect the aluminium made exterior parts.
