Suzuki DF90A Outboard

Class-Leading Power to Weight
More than a decade on from starting the four-stroke revolution with its award winning DF70 and DF60 outboards, Suzuki has reinvented the category again its latest series of mechanical high-performance outboards.

Suzuki's new generation four-strokes showcase an array of advancements and achievements - such as digital sequential electronic fuel injection, a powerful 2.59:1 final drive ratio, zero-maintenance self-adjusting time chain and don't forget the Suzuki Lean Burn Control System. The Suzuki Troll Mode System is also available as an option.

2-Stage Gear Reduction
This system which incorporates the Offset Driveshaft features a first stage reduction between the crankshaft and drive shaft and a second stage reduction inside the gear case. This design makes a larger gear ratio possible, allowing it to turn a large diameter propeller for high propulsive efficiency while providing high torque.

ADVANTAGES

  • High propulsive efficiency with large diameter propeller.
  • Powerful navigation, maintaining propeller rotation even with a larger load.
  • Tremendous power to turn large diameter propellers, offering quick acceleration.

Offset Driveshaft
The engine powerhead is positioned closer to the front, moving the outboard's centre of gravity forward.

ADVANTAGES

  • Less vibration.
  • More compact engine design.
  • Stable steering performance.

3 + 3 years Recreational Warranty
All recreational/privately registered Suzuki Outboards come standard with 3-years / unlimited hours manufacturer's warranty. Recreational outboards are also eligible for a bonus 3-year Warranty providing that an authorised Suzuki Marine Dealership completes servicing as per the owners manual schedule. The Suzuki dealer must use only genuine parts and oils during both manufacturer's and bonus warranty periods.

Lean Burn
The Lean Burn Control System supplies the optimum fuel and air mixture depending on the navigation conditions.

ADVANTAGES

  • Significant improvement in fuel economy in all speed ranges, especially at cruising speed.
  • Fuel costs can be significantly reduced thanks to improved fuel economy.

Suzuki Easy Start System
This system eliminates the need to hold the key until the engine starts. Simply turn the key once and release and the starter will remain engaged till the engine starts, much like a modern car.

Streamlined Gear Case & Highly Efficient Propeller
The lower gear case utilises a hydrodynamic design. As the lower unit moves through the water its sleek form reduces drag by up to 36% compared to conventional designs, contributing to faster acceleration and increased speed.
Suzuki's two-stage gear reduction allows the use of a larger diameter propeller. Suzuki engineered a new highly efficient propeller specially for this series that takes advantage of the additional torque available and provides faster acceleration and top speed.

Self-adjusting Timing Chain
The timing chain runs in an oil-bath so it never needs lubricating and is equipped with an automatic hydraulic tensioner so it remains properly adjusted at all times.

ADVANTAGES

  • Higher durability compared to belt types
  • Maintenance-free

Tilt Limit System
A tilt limit system that prevents the outboard from tilting beyond a certain degree.

ADVATAGE: Prevents damage to the boat or outboard due to excessive outboard tilting.

Dual Engine Flush Ports
Over time, salt, sand and dirt build up can restrict flow in the cooling system causing damage. To help prevent such build up, two freshwater flush ports are employed to make flushing the cooling system much easier. With one port located on the port side of the down housing and a second port located on the front panel, you'll always have easy access to the flushing system regardless if the the boat is in our out of the water.

Suzuki Troll Mode System (Optional)
A system that enables the boat to move at a constant speed.

ADVANTAGE: The boat can be moved at a constant speed without operating the throttle.

Suzuki's Anti Corrosion System
Suzuki protects its outboards with an anti-corrosion finish specially developed by Suzuki. Applied directly to the aluminium surface it maximises the bond between the finish and the surface, increasing the protection and durability of parts that are constantly exposed to saltwater.

Features:

  • Shaft length: Available in 25" & 20"
  • Colour: Available in Black & White
  • Electric starting system: Simply turn the key and release, and the starter stays engaged until the engine starts. (Keyless start system option is available on selected models)
  • Power Trim and Tilt: With the push of a switch, change the outboard's thrust angle, or tilt the outboard up or down
  • Regular rotation propeller: The outboard propeller operates in clockwise rotation, meaning to the right
