Suzuki DF115BG Outboard
World's First Drive By Wire 115hp/140hp 4-stroke outboard
Suzuki Marine is globally recognised for making advanced technology and features available to boaters of all types - not just those who run the largest, highest-horsepower outboards. This tradition continues with the introduction of Suzuki's latest generation DF115BG and DF140BG 4-stroke outboards, the first in their class to offer all the advantages of drive-by-wire technology.
By bringing its proven drive-by-wire technology to its 115HP and 140HP in-line four-cylinder models, Suzuki is providing simplified rigging for a wide range of boat builders, along with silky smooth shifting, instant throttle response, enhanced performance and superior fuel efficiency. The reliability and precision control of Suzuki's drive-by-wire technology has been proven for years on Suzuki's popular 150HP through 350HP models.
STEALTH LINE
Suzuki Marine's new Stealth Line now offer more of the innovative technology and uncompromising power with sleek new matte black style.
Drive By Wire
Operation from the remote control is delivered to the outboard via an electric signal instead of the traditional mechanical control cable design.
ADVANTAGES
- Smooth Shift & Operation.
- Easy Rigging.
- Increased Fuel Efficiency.
- Luxury Remote Control.
Increased Compression Ratio
The compression ratio has been increased from 9.7:1 to 10.6:1 to achieve greater top speed and acceleration produced by the 2.0-litre displacement inline four-cylinder engines. Lean Burn fuel efficiency has also been significantly improved compared to the outgoing A" series models. Tests have demonstrated as much as 10% improvement across mid-range to high-end cruising speeds.
ADVANTAGE
- Improved combustion results in greater fuel efficiency compared with "A" series models.
- 10.6:1 Compression Ratio contributes to improved engine torque.
Suzuki Micro Plastic Collecting Device (MPC)
Suzuki's Micro-Plastic Collecting Device (MPC) is part of Suzuki's Clean Ocean Project initiative, which collects micro-plastic by filtering the returning ocean water after it has been used for cooling the outboard motor., without any effect on performance when boating.
3 + 3 years Recreational Warranty
All recreational/privately registered Suzuki Outboards come standard with 3-years / unlimited hours manufacturer's warranty. Recreational outboards are also eligible for a bonus 3-year Warranty providing that an authorised Suzuki Marine Dealership completes servicing as per the owners manual schedule. The Suzuki dealer must use only genuine parts and oils during both manufacturer's and bonus warranty periods.
Easy Maintenance
Specially designed to be easy for owners to perform maintenance tasks.
ADVANTAGES
- Easy access oil filter: Can be replaced simply by removing the top cover.
- Oil Spill Catcher: A tray is added around the oil filter to catch oil which comes out when exchanging the oil filter
- Oil Level Gauge: Able to use ?15 oil changer hose
Newly Designed Air Intake System
The air intake structure was reviewed and improved.
ADVANTAGE
- Delivers higher power output.
- Increased ability to remove water from air taken into cowl.
- Decrease in the air intake temperature.
Direct Ignition
Integrates the ignition coils into the spark plug caps.
ADVANTAGES
- Reduces the number of parts and simplifies the wiring system.
- Removing the high tension cord enables the ignition to generate spark efficiently which leads to the improvement of combustion efficiency.
Water Detecting System
- It helps to protect the engine from water in the fuel.
- Using bigger fuel filter than the DF140A/115A.
- Optimised Fuel Filter position.
ADVANTAGE
- Can avoid water in fuel.
- Increased Durability & Reliability.
- Easy replacement of fuel filter.
More Features to contribute to Durability
- Large capacity Fuel Pump: Capable to rig on various kinds of boats
- Optimized O? Sensor mounting position: Increased Durability
- Using Zinc-containing Rustproof Coating bolt: Increased Durability
Lean Burn Control System
The Lean Burn Control System supplies the optimal amount of fuel and air mixture depending on the navigation conditions.
ADVANTAGE
- Significant improvement in fuel economy in all speed ranges especially at cruising speed.
- Fuel is saved and petrol costs are greatly reduced thanks to the improved fuel economy.
Offset Drive Shaft
The engine powerhead is positioned closer to the front, moving the outboard's centre of gravity forward.
ADVANTAGE
- Less vibration.
- More compact.
- Stable steering performance.
2-Stage Gear Reduction
This system which incorporates the Offset Driveshaft features a first stage reduction between the crankshaft and drive shaft, and a second stage reduction inside the gear case.
ADVANTAGES
- High Torque even with big loads.
- Powerful enough to rotate a larger propeller
Quiet Operation
Intake noise is suppressed with a resonator, resulting in quieter noise output.
ADVANTAGE: Less noise, making boating more enjoyable.
Increased Alternator Output
Newly designed ventilation which improves cooling around the coils.
ADVANTAGE: 3Amp higher alternator output at idle speed range that is roughly equivalent to the necessary output required to operate the SMD12/SMD16 displays.
Improved Gear Case
By optimising the gear oil passage, the spinning pinion gear generates negative pressure and it helps gear oil circulation.
ADVANTAGE: It lowers gear oil temperature and contributes to the increased durability of pinion gear
Features:
- Shaft length: Available in 25" & 20"
- Colour: Available in Black & White
- Electric starting system: Simply turn the key and release, and the starter stays engaged until the engine starts. (Keyless start system option is available on selected models)
- Power Trim and Tilt: With the push of a switch, change the outboard's thrust angle, or tilt the outboard up or down
- Available in Counter & Regular rotation propeller
